Between 2007 and 2022, Utah's Total homeless population increased by 18% and the unsheltered population increased by 179%. (NAEH 2023)

Shockingly, 2,096 of these individuals are unsheltered, facing the harsh realities of life on the streets (NAEH 2023).

e Utah Homeless Management Information System (UHMIS) revealed a 10% increase in the count of individuals experiencing homelessness for the first time and a 5% increase among those who have experienced homelessness multiple times (UHMIS 2023).

In the 2023 Point-in-Time (PIT) count, Utah witnessed a concerning increase in the number of individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Chronich homelessness comprising 27% of the homeless population.

Of the people who experienced homelessness in Utah last year, 22% were under age 18. (U.S. Census Bureau 2023)
