Fact. There are not enough shelters and governments ignore the basic human right to shelter and dignity.

5,736 people will sleep rough on the street across NSW this year (ABS 2021).

5.2% increase in the number of homeless people across Australia (ABS 2021).

Across Syndey inner City the increase was 30% for people sleeping on the streets (ABS 2011 vs ABS 2016).

Across the Northern Beaches area the increase was 150% for people sleeping on the streets (ABS 2011 vs ABS 2016).

21% of homeless sleeping on Sydney's streets have suffered cold/wet illnesses hypothermia, frostbite or trench foot (MS2H 2011).
